About my Journey
At nineteen years old I was diagnosed with Bipolar I after having an episode. Confused and feeling misunderstood, I spent the next year searching for understanding, but consistently came up with more questions than answers. My life changed when I sought out support and found a professional that showed me kindness, acceptance, and could help me untangle and process what had occurred. Though I experienced further episodes in the following years, I recovered more each time, until I ultimately learned skills that helped me build trust in myself as well as with those close to me. By integrating these tools, and building a team around me to provide support, I found long term stability that supports a healthy life.

I’ve successfully lived with Bipolar I for nineteen years, and through that time have developed a deep understanding of the condition from experience, education, support, and treatment. When I meet and work with others, I find that we often share many of the joys and difficulties that are part of the journey. I’m deeply passionate about sharing the tools, experiences, and knowledge that I’ve gathered, so that more people with this condition can find recovery and success.
